Fargo’s PolyGuard lamination material is a secure, tamper-resistant overlaminate. PolyGuard provides superior durability – far exceeding the lamination capabilities of other card printers. Independent tests have shown cards printed with PolyGuard can withstand 50,000 swipes through a magnetic stripe reader before showing signs of wear, while competitive cards begin to show wear after only 300 swipes.
PolyGuard is ideal for applications which require a long, highly secure card life.
Description
Fargo Wasteless half patch lamination (also referred to as alternating overlamination) provides a layer of protection over your printed cards, making them more durable and providing protection from wear and fading. The Fargo 82710 applies a half-patch laminate on the magnetic stripe side or back side of the card.
Fargo laminate is perfect for magnetic stripe cards applying maximum overlamination while leaving the card’s magnetic stripe exposed.
Fargo features wasteless lamination technology that significantly reduces waste and consumables costs. With wasteless lamination, overlaminate patches are adhered to one another on a single roll without an underlying carrier. As each patch is detached from its supply roll and appended to a card, the lamination cycle is completed. When the supple roll is empty, the only remaining component is the single empty core that initially contained the overlaminate material. Wasteless lamination is ideal for organizations that laminate ID cards in high volumes.
A printer with lamination capability is needed in order to use Fargo overlamination.
